Like a lot of other families we were split up over Covid. I was in Europe and Annie was here in Sydney. When I came back to Australia in December 2021 we were so

excited to be back in the same country together and decided to begin working on something special to us - a passion project and business that would mean we could spend every moment we could making up for lost time.

While rummaging through heirloom pieces in our jewellery boxes, Bixby and Co was born!

Luckily we get on like besties - travel, sunshine, music and living life as positively and enthusiastically as possible are all things we have in common. We love to laugh and send our energy out into the world, and we dress and accessorise to show off a bit of our personalities.

A trip to India in early 2021 reminded me that women should celebrate our femininity and personality. Every woman there seems to look vibrant and colourful, even

in the most remote and poor areas. Here in Australia we tend to underdress for occasions, rather than dressing up and sparkling -which is such a shame when girls here are so bloody beautiful!

While in India we found a female run workshop of ladies in Jaipur who processed industrial metals and recycled gold and silver and brass from old medical machines.

We decided to work with them to source metals and glass for some of our custom designs. Like many brands we try to minimise the effects on the planet of mass produced accessories.

All the colourful gem components we use are recycled glass and sea glass and we love the thought of the secret history they might bring to your new pieces.
